As the demand for English has increased rapidly, many people from different nations have been learning English either for educational or professional purposes. The need of people to learn English has urged educationalists to deal with the question of how to teach English more effectively and extensively. In order to teach it, English language needs have to be identified first. Although English is seen as a vital tool for the Police/Cadets, their English language needs have not been analyzed up to now. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the English language needs of Police/Cadets. The results revealed that learning English is seen as very important for personal and professional development and development in career for Police/Cadets. All language skills were stated to be important in learning English; but among the language skills speaking and vocabulary were perceived as the most needed skills for Police/Cadets. The respondents expressed a need for emphasis on both general and academic English. In the light of the findings, several implications were put forward in terms of each language skill for future curriculum developments and an appropriate English program, which will hopefully meet the English language needs of the Police/Cadets in general.
