This research aims to give highly-skilled migrants from Turkey a space to reflect on their ties with Turkey and Germany as well as their return contemplations. The cases discussed in this study clearly illustrate how diverse the effects of transnational involvement and integration upon return contemplations might be and these are not independent of the other factors such as gender, migration channels, and visa entitlements. Therefore, it would be misleading to draw firm conclusions about their complex relations. Their analysis should always strive to take into consideration as many axes of difference as possible among migrants in order to uncover the nuances in their experiences of transnationalism, integ-ration, and return migration and to discuss them in a more critical light rather than lumping all them into a single group of high- skilled migrants.
