This is the story of an English family with three children―Roberta, Peter and Phyllis―during the Victorian era. They live in abeautiful house with their loving mother and father. But one day their lives turn upside down by a horrible event and theyhave to live with their mother in the country without their father. The children create themselves a warm, friendly new life intheir new home near a railway line. The kindness of their hearts solves many problems and the story follows their adventures.
